Carriage FAQ's
We are quite often asked similar questions regarding our courier times, rates etc, when delivering our Toyota Hilux Surf and Pickup spare parts and accessories in UK, so here are some helpful answers to the more commonly asked questions

We offer a 1-2 day delivery service (subject to stock and Terms and conditions) on orders that are made generally before 3.00pm. PLEASE ENSURE WE ALSO HAVE A DAYTIME CONTACT TEL. NUMBER OR MOBILE NUMBER WHEN ENTERING YOUR CHECKOUT DETAILS.
1-2 Day service: Deliveries are made to Mainland UK and I.O.W by National Couriers any time between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday subject to the couriers route and goods being delivered. Channel Isles, Scottish Isles and Northern / Southern Ireland maybe on a 2/5 day service. A member of our staff will advise if this is the case.
Should a parcel be delayed for what ever reason RoughTrax is not held a liable for late deliveries as per our terms.
Orders dispatched from RoughTrax on a Friday are delivered on a Monday. Saturday deliveries can be made by special request by calling 0117 9869065 or email info@roughtrax4x4.com however, an approx. £10.00 + VAT Surcharge is applied on top of the standard rate carriage.
Please note our couriers will try to deliver on 2 occasions and will leave a card if not in, RoughTrax will also try to contact our customer on the telephone numbers given, should RoughTrax or the courier receive no communication then the parcel will be returned to RoughTrax. RoughTrax can not be held responsible as we have tried to deliver the goods. The goods can be re-delivered, however another carriage charge will be made for this extra service.
Carriage rates:
1. We use Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded delivery for very small objects at RoughTrax discretion. A minimum of £4.00 + VAT would be charged subject to weight.
2. TNT Pack: £6.99 + VAT. This is a large "carrier bag" holding a max. of 5kg subject to size and item being packaged.
3. Box Rate: £8.75 + VAT. This can be any number of boxes up to 30kg (subject to size) delivered next day. Bulk items maybe charged out more but this will be advised.( please see "In General").
4. Items such as Tow bars, roll bars, large items will be charged at 15.00 + VAT
5. Bulk items such as Hard top tonneaus, bed liners, or a set of 4 tyres will cost £20.00 + VAT to courier to mainland UK. Such items will all also have to re-quoted on the carriage if going overseas, even to Ireland or anywhere outside of the mainland UK.
Scotland / Isle of Man:
In general most of Scotland is a next day service, however, some Highland areas maybe on a 2/3 day service and Scottish Isles and Isle of Man may incur an "over water" charge depending upon the products being putchased, if this applies then a member of staff will contact you with the revised carriage quote, only after your confirmation would we take payment.
Ireland:
Most products purchased over the Internet from our website will have the correct carriage quoted, however please remember to select Northern or Southern Ireland when filling our your delivery details NOT United Kingdom.
On occassion it maybe necessary to requote the carriage charge, if this applies then a member of staff will contact you with the revised carriage quote, only after your confirmation would we take payment.
Channel Isles:
Orders are classed as "Overseas" by couriers, each order has to be weighed and dimensions given to our couriers to obtain a carriage quote. Please call 0117 9869065 with you order and we will be happy quote.
International:
If you wish to have your goods sent internationally we have no objection for you to arrange your own courier to be collected from RoughTrax. We would give you all dimensions and weight of the parcel. A good courier company that we use who always give the best prices are Interparcel.com
In General:
We try to keep our carriage as low as possible, however, some bulky items such as bed liners, cylinder heads, sets of tyres, Roll bars, bulk orders, etc may have a different carriage rate. RoughTrax will advise should there be any difference in carriage rates other than listed.
Tracking Goods:
We have now moved our dispatch business to TNT national couriers, one of the largest in the UK, as of 1st August 2006, we hope we will be able in future to offer an even better delivery service to our customers.
A tracking service has now been provided. You will receive a conformation email when you place an order online and all tracking numbers and links will be available should a customer wish to track there goods.
Please note that the tracking service can only be used on the day the delivery is to be attempted.
Returns:
For customers who wish to return any goods here is a good courier company that we use called Interparcel where you can view the range of services and prices to suit you. Interparcel offers you very low cost courier rates using some of the biggest carriers in the world. UK & International courier services.
