We won many shows from our unique conversions and new ideas.
We even built a RAC Comp Safari racer modelled on the mk3 pickup...that's where the similarities ended, we ran a highly modified chassis and a V8 Ford Mustang engine, producing some 320 horsepower.....and less than 3 mpg ! we featured in many of the 4x4 magazines, mostly for our colour I should add...Lime green and a Kermit the frog on the front grill!
| Since 1991, we have built up a huge range of Hilux pickup and Surf parts and accessories, and 4 years ago we decided to stop the servicing and repairs and concentrate all our efforts in supplying probably the widest range of Toyota Hilux parts in the UK. We now have suppliers abroad manufacturing parts especially for RoughTrax as we constantly try to come up with new ideas and sourcing more and more parts.
From here we carried out servicing and repairs on all pickups and Surf's, this is why at RoughTrax we can definitely say we can offer an unrivalled all round service for our customers with helpful advise, where possible, and an excellent knowledge of the parts and accessories we stock.
We have owned and raced Toyota's from the very first Mk1 pickup up to the latest KZN185 Inter cooled Surf, and we truly believe they are the finest vehicle on the road in it's class. This is why we ONLY specialize in supplying Toyota Hilux parts. After all we are "enthusiast for the enthusiast"! |
