(These date codes would all run the wider 40mm dual row bearing)

Please Check the start of your chassis number as this shaft ONLY fits:

The Same shaft kit can be fitted to either side of the rear axle and is sold as an individual kit put together by RoughTrax using all Genuine parts.
We only sale the shaft as a kit so if returning must be returned as the full kit in all original packaging.

ALL THESE COMPONENTS ARE RECOMMENDED FOR THE NEW GENUINE TOYOTA SHAFT TO BE FITTED.

Common Faults:

This shaft is often damaged usually when trying to remove the rear wheel bearings or collars, any grinder damage etc could result in not only weakening the shaft but also causing oil to leak even after a new bearing kit has been fitted.
Another fault can be a warped shaft although unusual.

This shaft can only be used on models fitted with ABS collars due to the machining and position of the circlip groove etc.

Original half-shaft, guaranteed quality or materials, machining and fit. Toyota often covers the machined parts in a protective coating which needs to be removed prior to assembly.

Customers tips:

When fitting, initially measure the depth of the retaining collar that runs on the inner axle seal (that stops the oil from the diff) the new collar must be positioned correctly on the shaft so that the seal runs central to the retaining collar. As a tip, measure from the end of the splined half shaft down to the centre of the collar and ensure the new collar fits into the same position to ensure a correct seal.
Check your axle breather RAMS004 on top the axle casing, if blocked, either cleanout or replace as this could force oil through a weak spot.
