Details

A Clutch Master cylinder manufactured by Aisin for the Hilux pickups listed. The Clutch master is bolted to the bulkhead via two bolts and comes complete with reservoir and adjust rod which connects to the pedal.

MK2 Petrol models:
The Mk2 petrol had a slightly different shape master to this later type, however, once fitted, plumbed in and bled then this master will work perfectly on the Mk2 petrol.

Aisin manufacture for Toyota so this master is as per original fitment. RoughTrax are now direct agents for Aisin, therefore pleased to be able to supply this quality Original Equipment (OE) product at a much-discounted price.

As a tip:
Measure the length of the rod from the old cylinder and adjust the new rod length accordingly, final adjustment is made after fitment.

Any fitting tips?
Once you have fitted to the bulkhead and bled the master down at the clutch slave cylinder, you must adjust the rod length between pedal and master. This rod length is what will adjust the clutch "free-play" and is vital once bled.
This is easily done by:

Slackening off the clevis lock nut to rod - leave the clevis fitted to the pedal
Then by twisting the rod to either lengthen or shorten the rod will in effect adjust the clearance between the trust bearing and clutch cover (pressure plate)
Tighten the lock nut once correct free-play is achieved.
This is vital as only when the clutch is depressed should the thrust bearing ever touch the cover, this is also stated within the Toyota manual when carrying out any clutch associated repairs.
Incorrect adjust will result in wearing out the clutch and more-so the thrust bearing and takes seconds to do.
