Genuine Toyota "RED" Long Life Coolant (LLC) - 5 Litre can, Pre-Mixed.

Comes Pre-mixed to Toyota's spec of -36°F, just add straight into the cooling system. You can top up with water however you will dilute the concentrate.
LLC also protects your engine from corrosion a common complaint with cast engine blocks, it also helps keep an engine cool in hot conditions.
Always consult your handbook or dealer to check applications.

Useful New Info!
Until recently it has been widely known throughout the industry that Red and Green LLC coolants were not to be mixed. Toyota has now reviewed their current coolant range and after an in-depth investigation inform dealers that Toyota Green LLC is now fully interchangeable with the Toyota Red LLC. In fact, they have now discontinued the Green LLC completely so only Red LLC is now available.

Tip!
As Toyota Green LLC is no longer available, (in fact most vehicles seem to run Red LLC anyway), if in doubt flush the entire cooling system with clean water and replenish with the coolant advised by your dealership or Handbook.

What if I have green in my current system?
Well Toyota say that their Red LLC (Long Life Coolant) is compatible with the Toyota Green LLC, what they don't say is if that is compatible with other manufacturers, so if in doubt simply flush the entire system, which is the correct procedure anyway, and replenish the system with the Pre-mixed Toyota Red LLC.

Can I top up with water?
Yes, however, the more you dilute the concentrate the weaker it becomes. You can test the concentration with a Hydrometer or alike.

Does the Coolant offer any other protection?
Primarily and the obvious thought is that Coolant provides corrosion protection to engine components when subject to sub-zero temperatures, however it also alters the boiling point providing protection in extreme heat, whats more and not so well known is that it provides lubrication to the water pump and the general chemical makeup helps prevent oxidisation and so helping with the efficient functioning of the cooling system. It's as important as clean engine oil !

How often do I need to change my coolant?
You may want to consult your manual, but it seems generally throughout the trade coolant is changed approximately every couple of years.
