A Genuine Toyota rear window motor that drives the window in the tailgate for the Hilux Surf 130 series. The motor as pictured comes complete with the small cog/gear attached which is what normally fails and cannot be replaced.

Original fitment part ensuring you of quality fit, parts and build on a common failing part.

It is very common for the motor to sound like it is working but not go up and down, this is because the cog on the motor wears away so it cannot drive the regulator to push the window up or down - always check the mating regulator teeth are also in good order else you will cause excessive wear on the new motor teeth and potential early failure,

Please note.
You will notice the 3 mounting holes are not threaded, (how Toyota design the motor) as a tip you can use your original bolts to make the thread into the  three plain mounting holes of the new motor, the original bolts create the thread, simply bolt on and start the thread with the original bolts.
This is Toyota’s design from factory (not an error in manufacturing) to enable the bolt to lock into position without the need for any Loctite.

We recommend a Silicone Based Spray (WC002) on the window rubber channels to allow the window to run more freely putting less stress on the window motor and inturn prolonging the life of the motor.

Product Reviews for Genuine Toyota Rear Tailgate Window Motor

Questions & Answers for Genuine Toyota Rear Tailgate Window Motor

Why doesn't the motor have any threads on the mounting holes?
Toyota's design uses your original bolts to make the thread for three mounting holes of the new motor, the original bolts create the thread, simply bolt on and start the thread with the original bolts.
So the motor is correct. This is Toyota’s design from factory (not an error in manufacturing) to enable the bolt to lock into position without the need for any Loctite.
Personally if fitting the motor without removing the whole regulator then I would use the bolts to tap the holes prior to fitting.

Why use Silicone on the Rubbers?
This helps the glass slide easier through the rubber channels and therefore takes a lot of strain off of the motor itself, in turn will help prolong the life of a motor and associated parts. Depending on how much you use the window we'd advise at least every couple of months to lubricate the rubber channels.

Do I need to remove the whole mechanism to replace the motor?
In short, no, however it is a time-consuming job as the 3 retaining bolts that bolt the motor to the regulator are very awkward genrally you will need to move the window in the up position to gain access to these 3 mounting bolts and the loom connector, if so, be very careful of the glass !
Generally most customers have said it takes a couple of hours to fit.
