Details

A Genuine Toyota semi-circular cylinder head blanking plug 11183-54020.
Fitted on the various Toyota diesel models / Engine codes listed.

This plug, although a re-useable component, is often overlooked when replacing a cylinder and sometimes left in the old head.

Its purpose is to plug and seal the rear of the cylinder head in the semi-circular machined face created when the cam shaft is line bored.

It is of paramount importance that the plug is fitted the correct way around else engine damage may occur. The plug is sealed into place with sealant prior to the rocker cover being fitted.
Should the plug be left out, then obviously engine oil will pour out.

Usually the original plug is simply removed, cleaned and re-used. We stock the new plugs incase customers / Garages have lost the original!
