Details

Now proudly supplying a 100% new UK manufactured Rear Prop-Shaft for the Toyota Hilux Pickup MK4 LN165 2.4 Turbo models from 1997-2001 by IMS.

IMS have now taken the original shaft and increased the drive tube diameter to 3" (76.2mm with a wall thickness of 2.41mm) to increase safety with the shaft at higher speed or excessive torque loads.
IMS manufactured prop shafts are professionally balanced individually and proven with a technical balance certificate enclosed with each prop shaft.

The Mk4 LN165 model has a long one piece rear prop shaft that ran straight down from the rear of the Gearbox / Transfer Box to the Rear axle differential.

Manufactured in the UK to a new improved uprated standard
Features high-quality Matsui Universal Joints
Main shaft tube increased overal diameter to 76.2mm with a 2.41mm wall thickness
Closed length 1390mm - Working Length 1415mm
CNC Computer generated machining processes for flanges and uprated splines for increased shaft life-span
The latest PBM7 Balancing machine is used on every shaft - after which each shaft is individually marked for alignment

IMS are accredited suppliers to GKN, Dana Spicer, Voith UK and many GKN operations in Scandinavia and European countries - these names speak volumes.
So yes, more expensive than cheaper unbranded Imported shafts but the quality of this shaft is plain to see in the components used which is why RoughTrax has now chosen IMS to be our UK manufacturer for this shaft.

This is a great alternative replacement shaft providing value for money to that of the expensive original shaft and simply bolts straight on.
The shaft has a single UJ at either end, to the front of the shaft where it bolts to the Transfer Box there is a slider, this allows the Prop shaft to extend and compress as the suspension moves up and down.

Always grease shaft prior to fitment.
