We maywell ask for images and a descrption of the fault in order to help with the warranty claim.
Warranty and liability policy
Subject to the condition set out below the seller warrants that the goods will correspond with their specification at the time of delivery or collection and will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months (1 year) from date of sale (unless otherwise stated by the seller).
Warranty subject to the following condition applies:
- The Seller shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from wear or tear, willful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, failure to follow the sellers Instructions (whether verbal or in writing) misuse or alteration or repair of the goods without the seller’s approval.
- The above warranty does not extend to, any labour costs incurred, parts, materials or equipment not manufactured or supplied by the seller.
Goods must be checked for suitability and tolerance prior to fitting or preparation, no responsibility whatsoever is accepted for the fitment of incorrect parts. The responsibility is clearly with the buyer/fitter to ensure the parts supplied are correct for the particular job. RoughTrax is not responsible for any damage or consequential losses or cost resulting from the fitment of parts supplied. Damage to any product during fitment lies purely with the buyer/fitter and is not covered under warranty terms.
Where goods purchased by the buyer are alleged to be defective, the buyer agrees to return the goods to the seller for inspection and report (without the seller replacing the said goods prior to such inspection). The buyer also accepts that it is reasonable to inform the seller of any interruption, defect or other failure prior to contacting independent third parties or incurring expense and in addition, to allow the seller to remedy the defect, failure or interruption. Parts modified or adapted by the buyer shall no longer be warranted by the manufacturer nor shall RoughTrax be liable for any failures resulting to modification.
Any claim by the buyer which is based on any defect in quality or condition of the goods or their failure to correspond with the specifications shall be notified to the seller within 7 days from the date of sale. If the buyer does not notify the seller accordingly, the buyer shall not be entitled to reject the goods and the seller shall have no liability for such defect or failure, and the buyer shall be bound to pay the price as if the goods had been received in accordance with the contract.
Where any valid claim in respect of any of the goods which is based on any defect in quality or condition of the goods or their failure to meet specification is notified to the seller in accordance to these conditions, the seller shall be entitled to replace the goods free of charge or at the seller’s sole discretion, refund to the buyer the price of the goods (or a proportionate part of the price), but the seller shall have no liability to the buyer.
Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by the seller’s negligence, the seller shall not be liable to the buyer by reason of any representation (unless fraudulent), or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the contract, for any indirect, special or consequential loss or damage, loss of profit or otherwise, costs, expense or other claims for compensation whatsoever (whether caused by the negligence of the seller, its employees or agents) which arise out of or in connection with the supply of the goods or their use by the buyer, and the entire liability of the seller under, or in connection with the contract shall not exceed the price of the goods, except as expressly provided in these conditions.
The seller shall not be liable to the buyer or be deemed in breach of the contract by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of the seller’s.
Obligations in relation to the goods, if delay or failure was due to any cause beyond the seller’s reasonable control:
- Act of God, explosion, flood, tempest, snow, fire or accident
- War or threat of war, sabotage, insurrection, civil disturbance or requisition.
- Acts, restrictions, regulations, bye-laws, prohibitions or measures of any kind on the part of any governmental, parliamentary or local authority.
- Import or Export regulations
- Strikes, lock-outs or other industrial actions or trade disputes (third parties included).
- Difficulties in obtaining the raw materials, labour, fuel, parts or machinery.
- Power failure or breakdowns.
12-month standard warranty
Goods supplied by RoughTrax are covered by warranty for a minimum of 12 months (1 year) or 12,000 miles (19,312 kilometers) from invoice date, whichever comes first, exclusions apply. Please see warranty exclusions to see what is not covered by our 12-month warranty.

24-month exhaust warranty
RoughTrax now offer a 24 month (2 year) parts warranty on our whole aftermarket exhaust range. We want to prove the quality of the exhausts we supply which are now manufactured in the UK, made to the same specification of the original exhaust.
The following exclusions are not covered by RoughTrax 12 or 24-month warranties. This excludes faulty items which can be returned in line with our standard faulty item return policy.
- General wear and tear
- Paint on shock absorbers by any manufacturer
- Corrosion, chrome, stainless or lacquered surfaces.
- Willful damage or negligence
- Abnormal working conditions
- Misuse, Alteration or modification
- Labour or associated claims
How to make a warranty claim
At RoughTrax we take our warranties seriously, we also take our after sales responsibility seriously. If you have a problem please contact us without hesitance, with our expertise, we might be able to help prevent a warranty or failure before you know it. If we can't, we will replace it.

Goods supplied by RoughTrax have a warranty period of 12 months (1 year) or 24 months (2 year) for all exhausts from invoiced date of supply. To return your faulty item please print and complete our returns form with the following address attached to the securely wrapped parcel and contact RoughTrax to arrange a collection of your warranty return;

Supplied to UK customers
If you purchase a product from us that are found to be faulty we will supply a replacement, arrange for a repair or give you a refund of the purchase price. Should the purchased product be out of stock then a refund will be issued once the warranty is returned.
To arrange the return of the defective goods please see our Returns Page. We aim to dispatch a replacement product, arrange a repair or refund your money within 14 days or a reasonable period.

Supplied to international customers (outside of the UK)
If any goods are required to be replaced, for whatever reason, RoughTrax Ltd will only deliver to the original address the goods were shipped to within the UK.
If shipped by RoughTrax outside the UK then it will be the customer’s responsibility to return the warranty component and arrange the carriage for the replacement part.
Any goods the customer has collected and shipped out of the UK and found either not to fit or be defective must be returned to RoughTrax UK address by the customer for any warranty on the product for whatever reason.
RoughTrax will not be held responsible for any carriage or transportation outside of the UK to bring back any defective part; this will be the sole responsibility of the customer without exception.
Warranty of any goods will only be applied to the UK and Channel Isles. Overseas customers whom purchase goods do so by agreeing to our Terms and Conditions without exception.
